Just after midnight a screaming match between a man and woman in the 1600 block of Rebman Crescent   brought the cops out. Police found them in a nearby home were the woman was taken off to the cells for a cool down overnight.

Shortly after , another drunk, this time a male caused a disturbance in the lobby of the Coast. He didn’t have to pay for his room. He spent the night in the cells to sober up.

Dodge city!
And if you go across the street from the Aquatic Centre on 18th Ave you can get a horse to ride off into the sunset. No more jail time .

Cheers
So glad i'm not 19 anymore.
There seems to be a theme here.
This is just a normal friday night in pg.
Pay before you dine like pay before you fuel up.
I think that may be next MoneKate.
Then we will have pay before you buy groceries...
pay before you die.....
after all we have to make sure the undertaker is paid for before we leave....

wonder where the stupidity will end...

change the rules and the criminals will change the way they do things....
Pretty much all alcohol related. As usual.
Alcohol, what a wonderful drug.

We already pay before we die-taxes-then pay more after.
Reminds me of the song that Roy Rogers used to sing.............Home,home on the range!
A few wreck it for all. It's the way of the world. Put bars on yer windows to keep yourself safe from the crimoinals. You are locked up, the criminals roam free. Be it ever so.
I am just finishing up a very successful week long convention in Prince Rupert and they want me to organize the next one in PG and I am hesitant to do it. There is limited hotels that would have the meeting rooms we need and the ones that do, are located right downtown. We have been off having fun in Prince Rupert in the evenings and walking everywhere and I just don't see that happening in downtown PG without most of our people getting assaulted or feeling threatened.
I'm leary walking downtown in broad daylight, never mind evenings. Sure is different now than say, 20 years ago.

gee...
How can we blame the Olympics for this one
So whats cabin fever got to do with it?
I work downtown and walk all over the area on a regular basis. My only complaint is the weather. I can`t wait until it gets warm enough to not have to put on my gloves and a heavy coat.

We also had our convention in the City and had no problems.....at the Civic Centre no doubt.
I need to have it in the hotel. Ramada and the area around it has gone downhill so much with open drug deals going on at just about every corner or other indignities going on. Coast is a bit better but what is there for people to do in the evening and head out to see downtown other than drug deals and drunk people ? I am almost thinking of moving it to Quesnel. Not saying Quesnel is perfect but it is better
I think the full moon may have contributed, there is always more crime at a full moon, the moon we cannot do much about.....the criminals...yes we can.
Ragtop So we could have our conventions on other then full moon nights. So whats so tough about that.

And whats more strange is that none of these crimes took place downtown. And heres one even better they broke into my basement on Saturday afternoon while we were downtown shopping.

Cheers
