College Basketball Provincials Begin at UNBC.

The Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre will host its first provincial competition, starting later today. The BC College Athletic Association's basketball championship will begin this afternoon. 6 teams will compete on the women's and men's side. The UNBC women are the only local team involved. The UNBC men finished seventh and missed the BC championship. The Lady Timberwolves received a bye in the opening round after finishing second. UNBC will take on the winner of the UBC-O, Langara game this afternoon at 1:00. The Lady T-Wolves take to the court in the semi final on Friday at 1:00. There was some good news for the UNBC men. They will host next year's Canadian Championship, March 18th to 21st.
