Forestry Sector Study Launched

Cariboo- Prince George M.P. Dick Harris has been selected to be part of the Standing Comittee on Natural Resources study of the challenges and opportunities facing the forest industry.

Harris joins Mike Allen as the Conservative reps on the Committee.

Harris says there will be a huge transformation in the ui=industry " And the result will be strongrer companies, with world leading technologies."

The results of the Standing Committee study will be presented to Parliament.

Maybe the "study" industry will replace the forest industry. And guess what? It can be done with recycled paper. Who needs trees anymore?

A study to see how to consoledate the forest industry for the big multinationals. Profits will be the focus and not jobs and entrepreneaurial opportunities.

Actually eagleone,you may very well be right.
I would not be the least bit suprised to see one of the big guns start munching up the smaller companies who are hurting for cash!
