The Eagles are Coming to Prince George!
By 250 News
Prince George, B.C.- It’s not what you think.
First Vancouver had the painted Orcas, the following year, Prince George got into the game with the “Spirit Bears” and now, to complete the water, land, air theme, it’s eagles.
( at right, proto type of "eagle")
The B.C. Lions Society has used the painted public art projects as a major fund raiser. The figures are painted, on display throughout a City then offered up for auction.
The 7 1/2 foot eagles (wing tip to wing tip) for Prince George , already have four artists on board, Ken Ferris, Joe Mandur Jr., Theresa Sapergia and Jody Spies.
The Lions appeared before Prince George Council this evening to seek support, and $5,000 to sponsor an "eagle".
They didn’t leave empty handed.
The eagles project is expected to be on display from April 2009 to April 2010, with the gala auction set for May 2010.

-Comon guys that false advertising! Here i thought it was going to be a concert announcement! If the lions society wants to raise some real scratch they should sponsor a concert. Maybe The Eagles perhaps. :)
