Our place is for sale and this sure won't help us sell any faster.....
Better luck next year. At least we took the bronze in aggravated assault.
The stats don't lie and it's nice to see the truth. Weather it's good or bad. Tough game when it comes to selling your place. At least you can tell any prospective buyers from out of town that PG has nice beautiful trees...............oh wait........ooooops.
I don't think too many people actually 'choose' to live here. I think most of us are just victims of circumstance.
I choose to live here.

I think the ratings were based on crimes committed by public officials...
IF you move to pg, the one person you should ask about where;s a good part of town to live in is a cop. Just ask - they'll tell you the straight goods on where to avoid.
alright we're passing Surrey
I choose to live in PG and I have to say I enjoy living here!! with all the wide open spaces just out of city limits and the great fishing.

Well maybe Regina and Saskatoon beat us but think the whole province holds the other six records. Now isnt that something to talk about. And the olympics havent even begun.

Cheers
The west has the top 9 cities in the country ....

It's where the money is .....

one fishes where there are fish ....

;-)
IPG should pick this story up!

We are now first place in 2 things. The worst crime ranking in BC based on the results of this study and the worst air in BC. What a GREAT place to invest and raise a family. Our City "leaders" must be proud of our accomplishments. When's the parade? Just hope the floats can make it through the pot holes, LOL.
Crime, pollution and hazardous goods trucks and a railway travelling in residential areas!!!!!!!
Don't forget floods, and the shutdowns........
Vancouver ranking 9th? I question that one. Last stat I read about a year ago was Vancouver has a higher property crime rate than Miami. Vancouver was the highest in North America. Miami has ghetto's with tract housing. Vancouver has the downtown east side.

Five stolen vehicles? Which day of the week did they choose? May 3rd? Nov. 4th? Or which week. Five vehicles are stolen every week. Some are recovered full of the most disgusting things you hope you'll never have to see.

We have a terrible problem in P.G. Shoot outs at Pine Centre Mall at Xmas? Think of the number of children that were there hoping to see Santa Claus.

Shootings at a popular restaurant? Warnings from the RCMP to stay away from the downtown clubs? Advisories to stick to the neighbourhood pubs to avoid being shot??
We are becoming prisoners in our own town.

99% of us are honest working tax payers. I think it's time to ask Opinion 250 to give us a crime reporting forum. People know things.

I know about the Crime Stoppers phone number thing. Perhaps it's used but it's only one phone number.

I think Opinion 250 is much more powerful. Our RCMP are so understaffed. Who monitors that Crime Stoppers number? We don't know.

The court system has tied the hands of our police force.

Mega frustration.

Let's help them! Only citizens can fix a city. Let's get on it!

Just 4th in the country? C'mon Prince George, you can do better than that. At least PG is #1 in B.C.

We moved out last year when real estate values were good.
