12.5% tax increase for Prince George in addition to increases in natural gas, regular gas, hydro, etc; etc; no problem.

Maybe next year we can try for a 15% increase, what the hell, its only our money. Then when the system crashes (And crash it will) all the bone headed Politicians can run for cover and say it was our fault because we should have put a stop to uncontrolled spending.

Watching these local Politicians in action is embarrasing. I wonder if other Cities have such a motley crew as we do.

This is the results you get when you have a high level of voter apathy.

With all these increases, how are people on limited incomes supposed to cope? Maybe we should ask our MLA'S who get in excess of $100,000.00 per year, or our Mayor who gets $83,000.00 plus perks. Im sure that people on limited incomes, and welfare who cant afford car insurance, rent, groceries, medication etc; are uppermost on their minds.

One of the big things on Kinsleys mind while he is sash shaying around Bejing on a Tax Payer holiday will be ***How can I help people on limited incomes and welfare***
Time for us voters to send a message to the mayor and council...lets just send it in november by not re-electing them...
Let's not just not re-elect them; let's all band together and refuse to pay the increase. It's long past time that the municipal governments were brought to task for their exorbitant spending and fiscal mismanagement.

They can start by firing those lazy asses who do nothing but hang around breast feeding a shovel watching a hole being dug.
Wake up, Big Bird.
Wake up, Cookie Monster.
Wake up, Elmo.

The Regional District of Fraser Fort George is in a different neighbourhood.

Same problems but different governance style.

No mayor, no council.
And you don't have to worry about Kinsley this time out, He is not running.
I would like to suggest at Tax Cap where taxes would not be allowed to exceed local inflation rates. Not my idea, but Taxpayers Federation Coalition. Makes sense to me. Chester
Sure. Watch the HR departments fold up and blow away in the wind.
Who in there right mind would want to join an organization that would not pay competitive wages in this tight market?
Pay peanuts, ya get monkeys. Trudeau said that. It must be true.
the word around the top floor at city hall is Kinsley is running again.

Taxes up! Provincial taxes up! Federal taxes up! City taxes up! Regional district taxes up! Taxes on taxes! Carbon tax! Gas tax! Home sale transfer tax! GST tax! Income tax! Farting tax! Breathing tax! Walking tax! It's never going to end. Remember "The tax man" from the Beatles penned by George Harrison? Time for a Tea party me thinks.
No wonder crime pays. Only honest law abiding citizens pay tax.
