Cariboo Cougars Win Major Midget Championship!

    The Cariboo Cougars were short handed for the majority of their game, but still managed to knock off the Okanagan Rockets 4-3. The Cougars sweep the best of three series and won their last two series on the road. The Cougars claimed their first ever BC Major Midget Championship. The northern most major midget team advances to take on the Alberta midget winner for the right to go to the Telus Cup National Midget Championship.

Great to see with the name "Cougars" finally associated with winning something :)
I had the opportunity to attend this series in Kelowna this weekend. The people in PG should be very proud of what this team accomplished. Grant Williams and his son Brent did an excellent job coaching these boys. The team competed very hard and were very disciplined. The parents and fans were a class act. Congratulations to all.
