United Way Celebrates Success

Prince George, B.C. -  The Prince George United Way is  celebrating  the success of its 2007 campaign.  Now that all the dollars have been counted, all the  promises kept, the final tally  came in at  $825 thousand dollars.

That amount  continues the growth of the  fundraising for the fourth straight year. 

The  funds were raised in a variety of ways:

�� 80% of funds raised from workplace campaigns

�� 15% from corporate support

�� 3% from individuals (non-workplace appeals)

�� 2% from special events

The United Way says the fund raising  success is the result of the  generosity of the community and the committment of the  donors and volunteers.

CONGRATS United Way!!
It was and is my understanding that the head guy running the United Way makes a gazillion bucks. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks. No apology from me for being cynical in this day and age. Nothin' surprises me anymore.
