Vanderhoof, B.C. - Nechako Valley Exhibition Society will receive more than $100,000 in community gaming grants to support infrastructure and community recreation initiatives.
The money will be used to replace the leaking roof and insulation of the indoor arena. The improvements are necessary to combat the facility's incurred water damage and higher costs to heat.
To be eligible for grants, recipients must be non-profit, provide a direct service to the community, and deliver programs and services established and maintained by volunteers. Long-term community benefits must also result from the program.
