Finally, someone capable and definitely qualified can hopefully become the Mayor of this city.
I do believe the residents of this city recognize the value of Dan Rogers as displayed with his common sense approach to resolve problems this city has and will experience.
It won't be an easy task to renew hope for this city.
Certainly some heads must be placed on the chopping block, but I believe Rogers will carry out the tough tasks swiftly.
It is time honesty and integrity became prime objectives in the day to day operation of this city.
They can start with "honesty" amongst the city employees.
It will be like a breath of fresh air-
Many have been waiting for Rogers to step up to the plate.
Finally!!!
And in closing, we really do not need the flower lady back on council.
I like her, but she just isn't the type of material this city needs for a good recovery in the next few years.
Also the bleeding heart-Murray Krause-has got to go. We cannot afford to cater any longer to the drugged up panhandlers occupying the streets. I could not even get out of my vehicle yesterday on George Street without a guy standing at the window asking for money, at 3 in the afternoon.
A vacant street, I might add. Unless something drastic is done, every downtown street will be vacant, and it will be very slim pickings for these beggars. I noticed he could afford to smoke.
Must take courage to want to tackle the problems the downtown is experiencing!!!!
Dan Rogers uses "common sense," and "experience," so let's see what he can accomplish in the next few years.
Right on gypsy, except for Rogers. I get a sore crotch just listening to him! I don't know how he can stand sitting on the fence as much as he does. I'm sure that's why he talks so much with nothing coming out of his mouth, just to dull the pain. Of course as Mayor it will be a lot easier, because then he's sitting on the sidelines and coasting with the crowd. Colin has my vote this time.
I'd tell you which new councillor I'd like to see, but time will tell.
