David Yarmish and his wife Karin, pick up litter along  North Nechako Road.

Prince George, B.C. -  The weather may  have been the biggest challenge to this year's  Spring Clean Up in Prince George.

Some 4,000  "Pitch In " bags were distributed, but,  the bag wasn't necessary for Kevin Nyberg.  Kevin ( in photo at right) and  his dog Sunny  picked up as much debris as possible  on their daily walk along North Nechako Road.

Last year, residents  picked up  17,000 kgs of litter.

It will be at least a day before the City  can tell us what the  collection totals are this year.

Good for you Karin and Dave
And Kevin.
And Kevin!
Thanks to all of you that pick up after all the PIGS that don't give a hoot about our environment.
All it takes is the use of a few brain cells and we wouldn't have the garbage problem we do.
I was following a pickup down Domano the other day, buddy driving while talking on his cell at the same time his load of beer cases, milk jugs, etc blowing out all over the rd. Simply inexcusable. You know who you are.
