Williams Lake,B.C. – Two Surrey men, charged with  production of a controlled substance,  have each been sentenced to one year in  jail.

Thirty seven year old and 42 year old Kim Noun were arrested and charged following the execution of a search warrant on a property near Likely last fall.  RCMP seized 5,566 marijuana plants in three buildings on the property. The two entered guilty pleas in court.

Police say the seizure was enough to provide every man woman and child in B.C. with one  marijuana “joint”  every day for one year.

So when do we get our 365 maryjane cigarettes? Will they be tailor mades? or just rollies? Seriously, let us follow this case. I will be surprised if these guys even serve time, and the fines can come out of their profits. Revolving door justice system.

"Police say the seizure was enough to provide every man woman and child in B.C. with one marijuana “joint” every day for one year."

Does this mean they are going to mail them out to us ?

It continually shocks me how much today's officers know about rolling joints. Must be a course or something.

;-)
Oops, I meant to say that these guys will be free in no time, sentence reduction for good behaviour, credit for time served.

What are the odds that they'd both have the same first and last names?

I somehow doubt this will have a significant impact on anything though.
They are twins from different mothers together.
Just the cost of doing business for an operation that big. Crown should go after their assets now.
Thirty seven year old and 42 year old Kim Noun. Average 39 1/2 years old. Ok I'll buy that. "Hi there Mrs. Noun. How are the little Nouns?"
So what are these people going to learn while in jail? hmmm...how to be a smarter criminal. Good heavens, legalize the stuff and the problem would be solved and our tax $$$ could go towards something important!!!

well you are sort of right they will be free in 9 months if they have good behavior its mandatory to serve 2/3 of your sentence for a provincial charge.the only reason they got jail time is because it was most likely there 3rd or 4th traffiking or Production Charge.
