Air Canada P.G-Calgary Direct Flight To Be Grounded?

Prince George, B.C. – There will be a special news conference later this morning to talk about  “changes to airline service at Prince George Airport”.

The news conference is being held at Initiatives Prince George and will feature the head of Initiatives Prince George , Tim McEwan and Mayor Colin Kinsley.

While nothing has been confirmed, it would appear the change will have something to do with the Air Canada non-stop flight between Prince George and Calgary.

That flight was launched last fall, and while no one is talking, if you try to book a ‘round trip flight to Calgary, you can fly out non-stop during May, but all June return flights Opinion 250 tried to book would have you making a stop in Vancouver, then continuing to Prince George.

Full details will be released later this morning.

The probably wan the same deal as our wonderful City gave to the flights to Seattle.
Wonder if we wouldn't be better of with a flight to Edmonton, maybe include a stop in Fort St John.
I am sure business people must go north and east and not just below hope.
Build a bigger runway and they will come?
A direct flight to Kamloops or Kelowna would make more sense.
I know they are cancelling the flight to Calgary, but it seems strange that the Mayor and IPG are going to be there for that announcement. It would seem to be more appropriate for them to be there for another announcement for an increase in some type of service.

CMA has a direct flight to Kelowna. One hour and you are there. Very nice.
