Terasen is one step closer to becoming owned by the American  company Kinder-Morgan.

Terasen shareholders voted better than 95% in favour of the sale .

Public Relations manager for Terasen, Dean Pelkey, says the  vote result was no surprise, but there are still  two  steps that have to be taken before the deal is final.

Those steps include the BC Utilities Commission approval, and the O.K. from  investment Canada.

Terasen is expecting those decisions sometime in November.

The BCUC is a front "for discussion" and this facett of Government will be "overruled" in any case. Which leads one to believe in it's illegitamacy.

Sight me one case where it has refused a purchase and sale of a 80% canadian owned company?

You can't, because it's never been done before in BC? Or has it?
Like both Liberal governments the BCUC has been paid off by the Yanks.
All those people who voted yes in the referendum to give up the Citys Option to take over the infrastructure and run our own natural gas in Prince George can now take a bow. The price of gas will have increased by approx 19% since the referendum. Terasan wanted the options so that they could sell the company to Kinder Morgan. Does anybody recall any mention of a sale during the referendum debate. You yes voters have been duped. Hope you enjoy your gas bills this Winter. The City can afford (using your tax dollars) to build a waste burning facility to produce heat to heat their buildings and some downtown buildings to reduce their gas costs, What is your option to reduce your costs? Wood Burning like we did 40 years ago. You call this progress??
How do we protect BC Hydro now that they have everything else?
Kindermorgan purchase by terasen was abled when liberals removed 80% rule of Canadian ownership in british columbia.

I thought I should bring clarification to opening statement and comment, in this thread.

So with a little more clarity, "what 80% owned company in British Columbia has been sold to foreign ownership before?
