Ft. St. John, B.C. - One person is confirmed dead following a noon hour plane crash near Charlie Lake near Ft. St. John.

 

The initial reports indicate the crash of the ultra-light happened moments after take off at Charlie Lake. The ultra light crashed west of Charlie Lake into a heavily wooded area between Golf Course Road and the Alaska Highway.

 

The deceased was the pilot of the plane and was the only person on the craft. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
