Prince George, B.C. – The Cops for Cancer Tour de North kicked off today at the Pine Centre Mall, with “arrests by request”.
More than a dozen people found themselves “arrested” and having to go before “Judge” Ben Meisner to enter their plea.
The charges ranged from “jay-running” to “encouraging obesity at work by bringing timbits to the office”! The fines ranges from $50 to $1500 dollars and all fines were paid to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Bill Philips of the Free Press was  one of the people "arrested".  Click here for a video of his charges.
Lots of laughs, and lots of fun as participants happily paid their fines. The event also featured raffle prizes, and head shaving.
The Cops for Cancer Tour de North is an annual bike tour that raises funds throughout the north for cancer research.
