Prince George, B.C. – Only 88 days until the B.C. Seniors Games get underway in Prince George! The games are set to start September 10th and go through the 13th.

This will be the second time the games have been held in Prince George making P.G. the only B.C. city to have hosted the games more than once.

The Legion Colour Guard (at right)  escorted the B.C. Senior Games Committee into the staging area today for the torch lighting for the games the Father’s Day Show and Shine  in downtown Prince George.

The torch was barely lit when the sky opened and gave all in attendance a soaking.

There is still a need for plenty of volunteers for the games.  There are opportunities in every aspect of the games including working in the games village, photography, food services or security. Click here for a list of volunteer positions and job descriptions.
To volunteer for the games contact the 2008 Games Office at 250.564.2080 or visit them at 155 McDermid Drive (the old Highland Elementary).
