Con Man Working Big Time In Prince George

Prince George -The RCMP Fraud Section is warning small business owners to beware of a male who goes by the nick name ,”Tank”, who has been writing checks for large purchases such as vehicles, boats and large machinery.

He is described as a Caucasian male, short strawberry hair, between 6’to 6, 3’, 280 lbs.

He usually uses the line that he is opening a landscaping company and has just inherited a large sum of money from his family.

Are these personal cheques? Any business manager or owner who accepts them for a large purchase without verifying the funds first is a dummy.

It suprises me in this day and age that anyone even takes cheques anymore. With all the fraud that goes on. This goof will be caught sooner or later. Just a matter of time.
I agree, a cheque to pay for a vehicle? and boat? Come on... you'd think people would at least want them certified!
