Prince George, B.C. - The Ruby Creek mine, about 24 km north east of Atlin has been issued a Mines Act permit. The permit allows Adanac Moly Corporation to develop a $414-million molybdenum mine.
The Ruby Creek mine project is expected to create about 550 jobs during the construction phase and approximately 250 direct jobs during the operations phase.
The project includes an open pit mine that would operate at 20,000 tonnes per day. Construction is expected to take approximately two years and, once in production, the mine is expected to operate for more than 20 years.
