Prince George, B.C. - The Canadian Curling Association completed its site visit today for the 2009 Canadian Curling Pre-Trials that will take place at CN Centre in November 2009.

Warren Hansen, Manager of Event Operations with the Canadian Curling Association is very happy with the facility “We will have the entire event at CN Centre, the size is exactly what we need for an event like this. We have professional ice makers who work on the Brier and Scott Tournament of Hearts who will come in a week before the event to prepare the ice, but other than that the facility does not need to be altered at all.”

Hansen said the committee will meet again in the fall to work out logistics with TSN “We know they require a complex system and we want them to tell us how much room they need before we start to sell tickets.”

Prince George  beat out Winnipeg  to host the 2010 Olympic pre-qualifying  event. The Olympic trials will take place in Edmonton.
