Police Crack Five Year Old Quesnel Murder

Quesnel-      A 37 year old Lower mainland man has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of a 79 year old Quesnel man on June 12th, 2003.

Harry Charles Purdey was found dead in his home located on the Quesnel-Hydraulic Rd. after police had received a complaint that Mr. Purdey had not been seen for several days.

His death was later confirmed as a homicide and the police have continued to work on the file.

RCMP did not say how they were able to crack the five year old murder.

The identity of the 37 year old charged with murder is not being released pending his first court appearance July 10th in Quesnel
