Prince George, B.C. - News of the closure of Synovate at the end of this year has left questions about the terms and conditions of the lease.
Under the contract, Synovate could end its lease by giving 6 months notice, which it has done. The full lease was to run until June 30th of 2009.
That lease was guaranteed by City Centre Ventures.
The company which manages the building says although there is a six month period left on that contract, it is not likely there will be an effort made to collect the balance.
90 full and part time workers have been given 20 weeks lay off notice.   The Synovate call centre will close its doors December 12th and will vacate the ¼  of the former Kressge building at the end of December this year.

Breaking leases? Not ending contracts on their expiration date? (UNBC). When is a contract not a contract? As one lawyer aptly said once, "You can get out of anything you sign". There was a time a man was as good as his word. But that was then, this is now. For shame! And don't dump any "economic crap" into this debate. It din't work like that back then and it shouldn't work like that now.
Welcome to the real world, Harbinger.

Maybe it is time that the averga person who is not involved in some of these tranactions understands contracts, intent, enforceability, agreement, etc. etc.

Do you see who the First Nations teachers are? Us!!
Owl is right, but so is Harbinger. A contract should be honoured, after all, why do we have contracts anyway?
