Storm Knocks Out Power

Prince George, B.C. -  Looks like another  summer thunderstorm has knocked out power  to parts of Prince George.  While  B.C. Hydro  indicates the cause is under investigation,  there was  lightning  moments before the lights went out  just before 9:00 to a  large portion of downtown Prince George.  514  customers  in the downtown are in the dark, including Tim Hortons, White Spot, Gold's Gym, at least one traffic light (at 6th and Victoria), the Civic Centre  and  the RCMP  detachment is on back up power.

There have also been  outages reported to customers on P.G. Pulpmill Road  and  in the Mud River area.
