Friday, July 31, 2015 @ 5:15 PM

Richmond, B.C. – WorkSafeBC has issued a brief statement following the findings and recommendations of the inquest jury in regard to the deaths of Robert Luggi Jr. and Carl Charlie in the fire and explosion at the Babine Forest Products sawmill on January 20, 2012.

The  statement says “The inquest issued 41 recommendations in total.  Nine recommendations are addressed exclusively to WorkSafeBC; several others are made jointly to WorkSafeBC and other organizations.  We thank the jury and the Coroner for these recommendations and commend them for the commitment and thoughtfulness they have shown throughout this extensive process.”

“Each recommendation will be examined and WorkSafeBC will provide a written response to the Coroner.”

Haven’t read anything about this yet, but wonder if their recommendations include firing incompetent investigators?

I guess you believe that would make the folks that lost love ones feel so much better Dumfounded ….
