Haggith Creek Crossing to Re-Open to Traffic Next Week
Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George is anticipating the Haggith Creek crossing on Willow Cale Road will re-open to single-lane alternating traffic on March 31 at around noon.
The City says final surface details are expected to be concluded and paving completed by early this spring if weather permits. It adds some short-term traffic disruptions are expected to allow the contractor to complete the work.
The Haggith Creek crossing – which is budgeted to cost $2.78 million – has been closed since September to allow work for a new steel girder bridge over Haggith Creek where a culvert beneath the road has deteriorated causing erosion of the road.
