Prince George, B.C. – The UNBC Timberwolves ladies’ soccer team has run into a roadblock when it comes to scoring goals.  They were kept off the score sheet in both of their Canada West games this weekend at the North Cariboo Senior Soccer League fields. The Timberwolves were shut out 3-0 by Fraser Valley Sunday afternoon.  They lost by the same score to Trinity Western on Friday.  That makes four straight games the Timberwolves have been kept off the score sheet while giving up a total of 12 goals over that period.

Fraser Valley scored three second-half goals, in the 57th, 69th and 77th minute, in taking 8 shots at UNBC keeper Brooke Molby.  Emily Harold made three saves in picking up the shutout for UFV.

The Timberwolves now have a 2 and 4 record and hold 5th place in the seven-team Pacific Division.  They visit UVIC this Friday and then travel to UBC on Sunday.

Meantime, the UNBC men’s team split their two matches on the road this weekend, blanking McEwan 3-0 on Saturday before dropping a 1-0 loss in Lethbridge Sunday.

The men have a 3-4-3 record and are 5th in the Pacific.  They host UBC in a twin bill next weekend with games at 3 pm Friday and 1:30 pm Saturday.
