Warrington New Chair of Board of Education for SD 57
Board Chair Sharel Warrington (seated) is surrounded by the Trustees sworn in tonight, l-r; Tim Bennett, Betty Bekkering, Kate Cook, Sharon Bourassa, Brenda Hooker and Trish Bella
Prince George, B.C. – Sharel Warrington is the new Chair of the Board of Education for School District 57.
Hers was the only name put forward for the position.
Vice Chair is new Trustee Sharon Bourassa. Although Trish Bella was nominated, she did not wish to have her name stand for that post, instead, she accepted the nomination to be the Board’s B.C. School Trustee Provincial Councillor. It was a role she had enjoyed previously but from which she had stepped aside when she was named Vice Chair in the previous Board.
Tim Bennet was selected to be the Board’s B.C. Public School Employees representative.

All women, 1 man; just the opposite of City Council. Men and money; women and children. Some things never change :)
