Prince George, B.C. – For Jos Van Hage, it’s all about giving back. The owner of Art Knapp Garden Centres in Prince George, presented the paediatrics ward at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. with a specially decorated tree this morning.
“All of the staff at the west store helped decorate the tree” says Van Hage “so the real thanks should go to Sandy, Marguerite, Kerrie, Carol and Lucia.”
For 5 year old Jordan Laramee, a paediatrics ward patient, the tree was a delight of stuffed elves, snowmen and Santa’s.
This is not the only giving the Van Hage’s do at this time of the year.
On Christmas Eve, they will deliver more than a hundred poinsettias to the Hospital, and the Ladies Auxiliary will deliver one to each and every patient in the Hospital “It is something we have been doing for nearly 20 years now” says Jos Van Hage. He says he and his family always try to give something back at this time of the year, to make the season just a little brighter for those who may not otherwise have a happy holiday.
