McNamara To Head Up Youth Soccer in P.G.

Prince George, B.C. – Len McNamara  has a new job.  The  former director of Athletics at the University of Northern B.C, is now the Executive Director for Prince George Youth Soccer Association.
 
McNamara has plenty of experience is sport management and has been involved in sport development, growth and the capital construction of new sport programs and facilities in the Prince George region over the past two decades.
 
“I believe my experience in the community and in sport will allow me to ensure the long-term growth and stability of PGYSA,” says McNamara,  “I hope to work with the board and the many volunteers to continue to grow the sport in Prince George.”
 
PGYSA serves nearly 3000 players from all levels. The board has endorsed a mandate to offer strong programming for kids from 3 to 18 years of age that is inclusive of all skill levels from the beginner to the highest levels of competition.
 
One of the key roles of the new executive director will be to work with the technical Director to grow the indoor programs, ensure financial stability, and grow the summer programs during July and August when the regular season takes a break.
