Spruce Kings Win At Home

Prince George, B.C. –  The Prince George Spruce Kings downed the Trail Smoke Eaters 5-2 in front of 912 fans at the Prince George Coliseum last night.

It was the Kings second game since the Christmas break, and their second win as the team doubled Chilliwack 4-2 on Wednesday.

Prince George led 1-0 after the first period, and 3-0 after 40-minutes, as the home team outshot the visitors 48-17.  Michael Colantone, Leo Fitzgerald, Chase Golightly, Paul De Jersey, and Jujhar Khaira notched goals in the winning effort.

The team’s record has improved to 17-13-2-and-3, putting Prince George in 4th place in the Interior Conference, with 39-points in 35 games.  Next up, the Kings host the Westside Warriors on Thursday, January 5th at 7pm.
