Prince George- A 46 year old female tractor trailer driver from Campbell River has been charged with driving without due care and attention after a multiple vehicle crash closed highway 97north earlier today.
Investigators believe that the northbound tractor trailer unit was travelling in the curb lane. It entered the inside lane striking a dodge pickup and forcing it into the cement median. The next car was able to stop before colliding with the pickup, it however was rear ended by another vehicle towing a trailer with two snow mobiles.

The chain reaction caused the northbound portion of the highway to be closed for about 50 minutes.
Police say they would like to thank the tow truck operators who worked hard to be able to clear the scene so that traffic could get moving again.

Pretty lousy score for big rigs this past week. Three local accidents resulting in 2 fatalities. Not good.

Anybody know where this was?

Why is it important to report that the driver was female? I have never seen other stories reporting that the driver was male.

Knowing the gender, age, and community of origin really narrows it down as to who this is.

Campbell River population is about 30,000. factoring in that it was a female and age 46 it likely narrows the driver down to one of less than 500 or so people.

I mean, if the person had been from Hixon, there is likely only one or two would have fit that description.

;-)

Sergeant Al Steinhauser does not own any tow truck company or have any shares in one.
We at Opinion250 checked that out some time ago. It is not true nor ever was.
To suggest that he does, leaves you in a very poor position in that anyone suggesting otherwise leaves them open for a slander or conflict of interest.
Using a name that is not you does not hide your ability to not be taken to task for your comments.

Why not say it was a female?? I have seen many accident reports the stated the driver was a male. Get serious — everyone knows women can’t drive.
