Prince George- The 85 year old man who was pulled from a burning home on Merritt Road in Prince George has passed away from his injuries.

Police and fire investigators had determined earlier that the fire was arson.

49 year old Frank William Marion was scheduled to appear in court today to face the charge of arson. Marion was a tenant of the residence.

Police say Marion has a significant history with police.

The 85 year old man was a prominent member of the Sikh community in Prince George.

That according to police is not what led to the fire.
