‘The Hitman’ A Hit At Cougars’ Game
Nine-year-old Jaden Schmitz meets Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart
Prince George, BC – It is the lone Hitman, as opposed to the Calgary Hitmen, who has drawn a crowd at tonight’s Prince George Cougars’ game…
The home team is actually playing the Lethbridge Hurricanes with a 6-3 lead in the third period, but it is tonight’s special guest who stole the limelight during the first intermission – not only did Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart perform the ceremonial puck drop this evening, but the pro-wrestling legend commanded a crowd during the first intermission.
Hart, who is in Prince George for Sunday’s WWE Smackdown at the CN Centre, was signing autographs during the first break in tonight’s game. Nine-year-old Jaden Schmitz waited almost the whole intermission for his chance to have a brief chat and shake The Hitman’s hand.
And many more remained in the line up, well past the start of the second period. Hart, who officially retired from the ring in 2000, continued to ink out his best wishes.
‘The Hitman’ will be back for another appearance at tomorrow night’s game, where one lucky fan will be chosen to compete against the wrestler in an on-ice contest during the first intermission.
Sunday’s Smackdown event goes at 5pm.
