Ten Ecstacy-Related Deaths In North In Past Six Years
Ecstasy-related deaths in BC by Health Region compiled by BC Coroners Service
Prince George, B.C. – While BC’s Chief Coroner held a news conference in Vancouver yesterday to confirm that a new chemical has been linked to five ecstasy-related deaths in the past six months, the Coroner’s Service also released a report summarizing ecstasy-related deaths in the province over the past six years.
Lisa Lapointe has confirmed the presence of paramethoxy-metamphetamine (PMMA), in addition to ecstasy and other substances in all five deaths which are still under investigation. The deaths occurred in August, November and December of last year, as well as two this month. Three of the deceased were from the Lower Mainland, while the other two were from Vancouver Island. Lapointe says toxicology results are not yet available for another recent death believed to be ecstasy-related.
She says PMMA is a rare drug and one which has not routinely been tested for in BC coroners’ investigations. After PMMA was detected in relation to several deaths in Alberta, Lapointe says toxicology findings were reviewed in all 16 of BC’s 2011 ecstasy-involved deaths and two 2012 deaths. "Though PMMA has been detected in five cases, it is important to note that there were 13 other ecstasy-related deaths in the same period that did not involve PMMA," says BC’s Chief Coroner.
"The finding of PMMA…confirms the danger that has always been associated with taking ecstacy: there is no guarantee of purity in a drug that is concocted for profit in a clandestine environment." Lapointe warns, "Every ingestion of ecstasy is a risk."
The BC Coroners Service report summarizing ecstasy-related deaths from 2006 to 2011 lists 99 deaths across the province, although 14 of those cases are still under investigation and have yet to be finalized. Ten in the six-year span occurred in Northern BC:
Community | 2006 | 2007 | 2008 | 2009 | 2010 | 2011 |
Arras | 1 | |||||
Chetwynd | 1 | |||||
Dawson Creek | 1 | |||||
Farmington | 1 | |||||
Prince George | 1 | 2 | ||||

Of the 85 investigations completed by the BC Coroner’s Service between 2006 and 2011, 13 were a direct result of an ecstasy overdose, 41 were ruled ‘mixed drug’ overdoses, and the drug was a contributing factor in the remaining deaths (16 motor vehicle incidents, 8 falls, 3 natural disease, 2 drowning, and 2 listed as ‘other’).

I’ve said it before that this is the most insidious drug out there. It should be priority number one for drug investigations and incarcerations. Created by the Israeli Mossad for use against the Palestinians, as it has the effect of making people loose their inhibitions, dignity, and care for the world. It was designed to make people ignorant and dumb and to just move along without a care for their well-being… but then it was found to have profit potential and the insidious marketing campaign sold it as a new age drug for the ‘rave’ dance parties (our media use to glorify them)… its always been a gateway to abuse and moral degradation of society (a generation has nearly lost its soul to this drug). The people that make and distribute this stuff have no scruples or morals… and a few deaths from the suckers that buy the stuff is merely the cost of doing business for them.
Good on em. Any one who is stupid enough to take this stuff deserves what ever they get.
So who thinks marijuana should be legalized with all of these other concerns of sociable degradation as it lowers human inhabitions as well? IMO
Hmmmm! Dr. Surefire did not mention ALCOHOL.
Most insidious drug for thousands of years and still going strong! Have for me!
ALCOHOL and TOBACCO
Another one of Eagleone’s anti-Semitic fantasies. In the real world, Ecstasy was synthesized in 1912 by Anton Köllisch, a chemist working for Merck. It was then largely forgotten until the 1950s when it was investigated by various researchers interested in psychoactive drugs. The first scientific paper on MDMA was published in 1958 by a Japanese scientist.It took off as a recreational drug in the US in the 1970s. There is no connection whatsoever between Ecstasy and Israel.
You can easily find the real history of Ecstasy on the net. The only places you’ll find the claim that it is a Zionist tool are the neo-Nazi web sites that Eagleone frequents.
Omg. Eagleone is a lunatic.
Extacy doesn’t seem to be much of a problem at all according to this. The article even suggest impurity may be an issue in these deaths meaning legalization and control may actually solve the problem. It is ridiculous that taxes supported by the much more destructive drugs alcohol and tobacco pay for the fight against these little ones.
Israelis figure prominently in cases currently under investigation in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and Miami — cities that constitute the primary source of drug consumption at parties in the U.S.
According to a report issued in 2003 by the U.S. State Department, Israel is at the center of international trafficking in Ecstasy and Israeli crime organizations, some of them linked to similar organizations from Russia, achieved a dominant status in the Ecstasy market in Europe, and went on to control the drug’s distribution in the States.

The authorities do not provide official data on the scope of the Israeli trade in Ecstasy, but the most commonly heard estimate is that Israeli criminals control no less than 75 percent of the Ecstasy market in the U.S.
Gabriel Ben-Harosh of the Abergil crime syndicate family is the main supplier to Canada through networks he set up over a decade ago. Very probably the man responsible for the distribution network that involved all of these PMMA deaths.
Part of the problem is that Canada under Harper signed a shared policing agreement with Israel that gives Israeli authorities an inside view of Canadian investigations especially those involving Israeli citizens… as such Canadian authorities couldn’t get their man and it took American authorities to force Canada’s hand on the matter of Ben-Harosh nearly a decade ago and since then with Israel firmly planted in Canada’s intelligence agencies the ecstasy market has run unchallenged.

Israelis at center of ecstasy drug trade
‘Israel is at the center of international trade in the drug ecstasy, according to a document published last week by the U.S. State Department.’
————–
As recently as Wednesday the head of one of the Israeli ecstasy crime families (Meir Abergil)was extradited to the Central District Court of California from Israel to face charges of a global conspiracy to distribute ecstasy. If convicted American authorities have agreed to allow this criminal and potential mass murderer to serve his sentence in Israel as part of the agreement to see him extradited.
Israel protects their own as its a state built buy banksters to protect banksters and their money laundering underlings.

I stand by my opinion even if an ocean witch wants to call me a lunatic and Billposer wants to be a serial defender of heinous criminal activity by a rouge lawless nation. I call them to account for their crimes.
Surefire… nobody has ever been reported in the medical community of dieing from smoking pot. That is a fact. Probably the most mild drug that can be classified as a drug. Sure would be nice if its production was controlled though, rather than left to the profiteers that poison society for their own bit of market share.
If Surefire wants to push ecstacy, than IMO it should not be an either or argument with marijuana, but rather one of ensuring the substance is manufactured safe for its users.
Maybe the Coroners Office can make a new revised ruling concerning deaths caused by ingesting Ecstasy. File them under “Death by reason of stupidity”. Sympathy optional.
