More Snow Before Some Rain For PG Area

Sunday, January 22, 2012 @ 11:57 AM
Prince George, B.C. – Get ready for some more snow in the Prince George area. Environment Canada is forecasting periods of snow this afternoon…about 2 centimetres…with another 2 to 4 centimetres overnight. Sun and cloud with a chance of flurries, a high of zero tomorrow. Then it could get a little slushy. 60% chance of showers on Tuesday with a high on the plus side. One source says 2, another says 5 so saw it off at 3-and-a-half and pull out your gumboots.  It should be a balmy week compared to the chill of last week.  Down at the coast a big windstorm rolled through, knocking out power to more than 12-thousand people on the island.

Nice driving conditions. Also nice change from last week.

It seems that a there is a higher probability of getting large snowfalls on the weekends – the period of late Friday through to Sunday – than the rate of 2:7 suggested by the proportion of weekend days to week days.
