Prince George, B.C.- Council will receive a report from the Mayor to this evening which outlines Council’s priorities for the current term.

LOL Good luck there buddy. The only way we will ever get that is if we can mobilize a few thousand people to demonstrate and protest. And even that would not be enough. This would have to be a very long extended effort probably. It will also have to involve EVERYONE now since this now seems to suddenly include the whole district. How that got slid into the name is beyond me but to get this PAC stopped in its tracks we better start organizing NOW. Other wise this PAC is gonna be just rammed down our throats just like the HST and to many others to bother typing here right now. Everyone is against this project so how is it that we are gonna get stuck with it? Get something organized NOW

“Advocate for the Northern Gateway Corridor”

What exactly is that? The Yellowhead route to Rupert or the Enbridge project?

Enbridge

Pacific Gateway – northern corridor

Some clarity is needed with these kind of ambiguous terms.

Did Kinsley’s “private” donation to campaigns pay off?

BTW, the report to Council has the following words in it regarding the PAC:
“planning for a Regional Performing Arts Centre” which I consider to be differnt from the words used in this article: “the development of a performing arts centre”

Planning comes before development. Many people and organizations have plans. In fact, there are many more plans that have not been developed in the world than plans that have.

Of course, then there are those things which have been developed without a plan ….. which is a totally different subject.

As is development different from a plan …. pray tell, what could I be thinking of? Could it possibly be the PG OCP which is the plan to reduce sprawl and promote infill and the development as apporved by many past Councils which causes us to reside in a community that does not appear to have a plan.

I wonder if one can infer from that posed picture who her favorite pets are in this counsel?

Which posted picture? More likely that the Councillors are the ones who assembled into the positions based on where they see themselves being in relation to the mayor.

I will venture the opinion that the further away they are the less they are concerned about that.

If you read through the annual reports on the city’s website, most of these are failed action items dating back years. This time they are going to complete them ….no really!

Only thing new here is the core review and that fact that protecting the environment or addressing some of our social needs are not a priority of this group. ya gotta love that they have a new mission and vision.
