Prince George, BC – While all routes through the Central Interior are reporting a mix of compact snow with slippery sections, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is warning motorists that travel along Highway 16 is not recommended for a 100-kilometre stretch through McBride.
Highway officials are warning of limited visibility, due to blowing snow from approximately 50-kilometres west of the community, to 50-kilometres east. Travel is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.
Another advisory has been issued for Highway 16 west at Houston. Motorists are being cautioned to watch for black ice for a 30-kilometre stretch west of the community to Wakefield Road.

Hopefully the sand trucks don’t go out near Houston. It would be a shame for them to be involved in a black ice related incident!
