Prince George, B.C. –  The Cariboo Cougar’s Brett Roulston powered his team to a 5-3 win over the North Island Silvertips by scoring a hat trick in Nanaimo this afternoon.

The two teams fought to a 2-2 draw last night.  In this afternoon’s re-match, Roulston opened scoring in the first before the two teams battled through the middle frame.  The Silvertips notched two goals before Roulston scored his second of the game to even it up.  The Tips added another with just 4:20 remaining, but Eli Jarvis and Roulston scored just nine seconds apart to go up 4-3 heading into the third.

Cats Captain Tanner Fjellstrom added the insurance goal in the third.  The Cariboo Cougars head home from their final Island road trip of the regular season with the three points.  The team hosts the Okanagan Rockets next Saturday and Sunday.
