Spruce Kings Lose 5-4 In OT

Prince George, B.C. – Michael Zalewski scored the game winner for Vernon 22-seconds into overtime, edging the Spruce Kings 5-4 in front of 937 fans at the Coliseum this afternoon.
It was Zalewski’s third goal of the game, as Vernon outshot Prince George 30-24, and went 1-for-2 on the power-play, while the Kings were unable to take advantage of two opportunities with the extra man.
PG got a pair of goals from Leo Fitzgerald and with the one-point, remains in fourth place in the Interior Division with 50-points, one back of third-place Chilliwack.
The Spruce Kings host Salmon Arm next weekend, beginning on Friday night.
