Prince George, B.C. – Get set to get up close and personal with some champions, Prince George! The Grey Cup Champion B.C. Lions bring the Canadian Football League championship trophy to our city for a pair of appearances today and tomorrow.
People across the province are getting a chance to celebrate the Lions’ incredible season, which went from an 0 and 5 start all the way to a Grey Cup title with a 34-23 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 99th Grey Cup game at B.C. Place Stadium last November. Members of the Lions, including star quarterback Travis Lulay, are travelling the province to show off their hardware and have photos taken with their fans. The Lions and the Grey Cup will be at Pine Centre Mall from 7:30 to 8:30 tonight. Everyone is welcome to turn out and rub shoulders with the champs. They make another stop at the Native Friendship Centre from 9:30 to 10:15 Friday morning.
