Employers Encouraged To Apply For Summer Jobs Funding

Prince George, B.C. – The Federal Government is encouraging not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses to submit their applications for funding through the Canada Summer Jobs program to create high-quality employment opportunities for post-secondary students this summer.
Last year, Ottawa increased the program’s annual budget by $10-million dollars to boost the number of jobs available across the country.
Interested employers can apply online at www.servicecanada.gc.ca/csj2012, or call 1-800-935-5555 for more information.
The application deadline is February 29th, 2012.
