Air Quality Advisory in Effect

Prince George, B.C.- An Air quality advisory has been issued for Prince George.
The Ministry of the Environment`s Dennis Fudge says a stagnant upper high pressure system over the region has resulted in pollutants accumulating in the air shed. Light winds and dry conditions are expected to remain over the region.
The provincial air quality objective for fine particles, PM2.5, is 25 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours. The 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 26 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site and 19 µg/m3 at College Heights at 4 pm today.
The provincial air quality objective for coarse particles, PM10, is 50 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours. The 24 hour PM10 rolling average was 44 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown, 27 µg/m3 at College Heights and 34 µg/m3 at BCR at 4 pm today.
Fudge says the high levels are mainly due to a combination of wood smoke, emissions from industry and road dust.
This Air Quality Advisory is expected to be in effect until further notice, with an update to be provided at 9:00 am tomorrow morning

Taking a clue from those who want to dredge the river, I think we should vacuum the air to get rid of those nasty little no see ums type particularites.

Gus. I think this guy is Fudging the numbers.
Air Quality advisories seem to rise right after Council meetings. Might be something to do with the amount of BS being exhaled into the air.
:-)
It’s nice when you lighten up a bit …
