Prince George, BC – A build-up of road dust in the airshed has prompted the Ministry of Environment and Northern Health to issue an advisory…

This is the second dust advisory of 2012.  In 2011, there were just two issued throughout the entire year.

MoE Air Quality Meteorologist, Dennis Fudge, says there are high level of course particulates, mainly due to road dust, in the bowl area.  He says the dry conditions and clear skies overnight contributed to a build-up in the airshed.

Fudge expects the levels should improve somewhat this afternoon, but increase again this evening, before easing tomorrow morning when clouds and precipation are forecast to move in.
