Prince George, BC – It could be an old farm tool tucked out in your garage or a framed print passed on from a relative…

Here’s your opportunity to find out if it’s truly a treasured antique, or destined to remain just a treasure to you.

The Huble Homestead/Giscome-Portage Heritage Society is once again hosting antique appraiser, Ted Pappas.  This is Pappas’ 5th visit to Prince George, and second year in a row he’s come as part of the local society’s efforts to mark BC Heritage week.

Huble Homestead Program Manager, Nicole Krizmanich, says, "The main goals of the event are to offer members of the public an opportunity to have their items appraised by a qualified and knowledgeable appraiser at minimal cost, as well as to allow the Society to raise money for site operations."

Krizmanich is issuing a special thank you to Books & Co. for allowing the appraisals to be done upstairs in Art Space on both Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 4pm.  Appraisals are $10 per item and there is no limit – they’ll be done on a first come, first served basis.

And Krizmanich adds there will be free seating available for those members of the public who just want to come and observe the appraiser at work.  Art Space is located at 1685 3rd Avenue.
