Taking Community’s Pulse on Safe Injection Sites

Prince George, B.C. – Don’t be surprised if you are approached for your opinion on safe injection sites.
In the coming weeks UNBC students will be surveying Prince George residents about Safe Injection Sites. The students will ask community members if they support Safe Injection Sites in principle, and if they believe one would be appropriate for their city.
Polling will take place at the university, and in several downtown neighbourhoods.
The polling will start today, and carry on through to March 7th.
This survey will be completed as part of a UNBC political science class. It is intended to teach students about political research and public opinion polling. “It was important to us that this project be more than a learning exercise,” says UNBC political science major
Kassidy Woods, “we wanted to study something that would be relevant to Prince George and Northern BC.” The students hope that the results of their research will benefit local and regional policy makers.
The survey is expected to take about three minutes to complete, and polling representative Marissa Olson says the class is hoping Prince George residents will be willing participants.
The results will be made public Monday, April 2nd.

Don’t worry, folks. We need one right on “historic” George Street. Just a part of “revitalization”. Waiting for it to be extolled on IPGs website. It sure is swell.
What about safe sex locations for our sex trade workers?
The key to a successful survey is to be asking the right questions. Surveys are designed to get the answers or response they want. Make sure you understand the question before you provide your answer.
