Monday, February 27, 2012 @ 12:05 PM

Prince George, BC –  Prince George RCMP are hoping the public may offer some assistance in locating a suspect who attempted to rob two people near the bypass last night.

Police say a man approached the couple near the corner of 15th Avenue and West Central Street around 8pm last night, demanding money.  The suspect did not produce any weapons, but did threaten the victims verbally before fleeing empty-handed.

Neither the man, nor the woman was injured in the incident.  Police are searching for a suspect described as a First Nations male, approximately five-feet-seven-inches tall.  He was wearing a black jacket, red baseball cap and was carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
