February-Up and Down

Thursday, March 1, 2012 @ 11:33 AM

Prince George, B.C.- February was for Prince George, what Environment Canada Meteorologist Jim Steele, calls “ A bit of an up and down month” as winter never really took hold for any extended period of time.
In his monthly report, Steele says the month started on the mild side, but quickly slipped into the deep freeze with more normal temperatures for this time of year, then back into the mild phase. The average temperatures for the month came in nearly a degree above normal.

Steele also reports the winter ( December, January February) turned out to be milder and with less precipitation  than normal.
