Krause invested $8000 of his own money ? This position must mean a lot to him.
And yes…..I did vote for Harbinger.
Thanks, pal. Next time methinks I need more money, influence and connections. Other than that it was hoot. I got to talk for one minute, half a dozen times.
I hear ya mate. I tried running for council once in New Westminster, almost 20 years ago. Extremely difficult for a newcomer to penetrate the walls of an old boys club, especially in a municipality rife with shady backroom deals and nepotism like PG.
And the twisted irony is that in order to get elected, you ultimately have to throw all your principles out the window and join that club, thus endorsing and perpetrating all the BS you were trying to fight by running in the first place! (i.e. the lies we heard about the AAP, only to see the gang right back in voting for it–Frank excepted)
I didn’t take donations because I didn’t want to be obligated to any one or group IF I won. Look at Obama. Cost him about hunnert million dollars to become president. He is unable to change things in the U.S. with out stepping on toes. And who do you suppose those toes belong to?
