In all, about 1600 dollars worth of Viberg and Royer work boots were taken from a store in the 10000 block of Victoria Street sometime between closing on Saturday, and Sunday morning.
Thieves had gained entry by breaking a window near the store’s front entrance.
The boots stolen from the window display are:
- Brown Viberg brand Stomper model #648, CSA, toe and plate – $268.90
- Black Viberg brand Sierra model 45x, CSA, toe and plate – $431.90
- Black Viberg brand Stomper Hydro Linesman boots model #175 – $368.90 ( shown in photo at right)
- Brown Royer brand Arizona model #408386 – $409.90
- Brown Royer brand model #10-8620, CSA non-metal – $199.00
The Prince George RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating these unique and specific work boots.

Well, if you’re gonna steal boots, they might as well be good ones and Vibergs are as good as they get. (And a little piece of PG history, too).
Chances are the loser that stole the work boots has probably never worked a day in his life…
Have the cops thought of just wandering around downtown and cast their eyes downward to see if anyone has “new shoes”? Just a thought.
These boots are probably already at work, strapped to the feet of the morally deficient persons that placed “an order”
for some good boots cheap. That, or they are languishing in a Prince George crack shack. And the retailer will face higher insurance premiums next year, unless they eat the loss.
