Prince George-A 53 year old Driver is dead following an accident on Highway 97 shortly after 3.30 today (Monday) south of Quesnel. Their name has not been released.

Police say a vehicle left the highway and collided with a fence about one half mile south of Kersley.

The vehicle apparently crossed the center line before it went into the ditch and then hit the fence.

The driver was pronounced dead at Quesnel hospital. Medical distress is thought to be the cause of the accident.

Road conditions were dry and clear at the time of the crash.
